Dock+Go prefers Goodyear's EfficientGrip tyres

Goodyear EfficientGrip tyres have proved the perfect accompaniment to Rinspeed's latest innovation - a mobility concept called Dock+Go which is currently showcased at this year's Geneva International Motor Show.

The key feature of this innovative modular mobility system from Swiss automotive visionary Frank M. Rinderknecht is the third axle with two wheels. This serves a variety of purposes and differentiates it from any other vehicle with its key objective of making living and driving without any CO2 emissions a reality.

Working towards zero CO2 emissions

With the docked third axle ensuring any superfluous space or weight isn't carried along if it isn't needed, it also drives the rotating second axle and recharges the on-board battery of the city car at the same time. To further enhance the vehicle, EfficientGrip tyres from Goodyear were chosen for their fuel saving technology which is designed to reduce the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

This 'Vario-Hybrid', as named by Rinderknecht, is the first of its kind and the man behind the concept explains the reason behind the Goodyear EfficientGrip tyre choice: "Dock+Go is all about working towards a vehicle that produces zero CO2 emissions. The Goodyear EfficientGrip tyre was the obvious choice for this concept vehicle with the tyre's fuel saving technology ensuring low rolling resistance, low fuel consumption and reduced CO2 emissions, along with excellent wet grip safety credentials. Take 3 is one of the most unique and innovative vehicles we have created at Rinspeed and it is great to be partnering with Goodyear for the second year atGeneva."
