Gauteng's first hopeful in the search for Miss Bollywood SA

22-year- old Ina Ivanova Gueorguieba of Faerie Glen, a suburb outside Pretoria, has become Gauteng's first contender in the search for Miss Bollywood SA, joining a growing number of other local hopefuls. The law student, who is a keen supporter of the Delhi Daredevils, was selected from the crowd attending a DLF IPL match between her favourite team and the Rajasthan Royals, at Supersport Park, Centurion.

Every DLF IPL match has a designated “home team.” The Miss Bollywood SA contestant is then associated with this cricket squad.

Fortunately for Ina she gets to represent her chosen DLF IPL team, the Delhi Daredevils and put herself in the running for a role in a Bollywood movie.

“I would really love to win, I've always wanted to go to India,” she said.

Miss Bollywood SA is a search for an IPL fan with star quality, someone that stands out in a crowd. The winner will receive a guided trip through Bollywood, a business class trip to India, R50 000 in cash and other prizes in the 2009 tournament's Miss Bollywood SA competition.

A total of 48 winners will be chosen from the crowds at all of the eight venues around the country that host IPL matches. Winners are shown on the big screen at every match during the second five-minute break and welcomed onto the performers' stage at the ground.

As each DLF IPL match has a designated “home team” the Miss Bollywood SA contestant selected during the game will be associated with that side.

Miss Bollywood SA entrants will go forward into later phases of the competition which involve internet and SMS voting from the www.iplt20.com web site. Photographs taken at each match of the entrants are on www.iplt20.com.
