His style of comedy has been described as a rambling, whimsical monologue and self-referential pantomime. What this means is that he talks a lot, sends himself up a lot, and uses naughty words a lot.

Izzard is heavily influenced by Spike Milligan and Monty Python, especially when he jumps between topics. He doesn't generally work from a script, preferring "anything goes", but the result is always the same: hilarious.

The Force Majeure tour will take in 25 countries across Europe and North America, South Africa, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, India, Nepal and the Far East. Outside of stand-up he has made several appearances on television and film, undertakes a fair amount of charity work, is a social activist and has run many marathons.

Tickets cost from R312 to R693 from www.computicket.com.
