Hawks conduct search and seizure at North West Premier's office

Hawks spokesperson, Captain Tlangelani Rikhotso, said the operation follows investigations in relation to alleged maladministration, fraud and corruption.

The monetary value involved is approximately R160 million.

“Several documents, which will assist in the ongoing probe, were seized from different offices,” Rikhotso said.

No arrests were effected at this stage, pending further investigation.

Rikhotso said the probe is ongoing, thus they "cannot divulge any further information".
