A new approach to TB diagnosis in SA

Médecins Sans Frontières reports on their success with decentralised multidrug-resistant tuberculosis care. With a new TB test and a community-based approach, they are able to get more patients on to treatment, sooner.

A new report shows the early success of a joint pilot project diagnosing and treating patients with multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) via primary care in Khayelitsha, by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), the City of Cape Town and the provincial government of the Western Cape.
