A new flavour to Namibia's milk
Having bought the rights for Southern Africa, holding company Strawtech launched Sipahh in South Africa in May 2006, and within just a few months, had partnered with the Namibian Dairies to launch Sipahh into Namibia.
“The decision to partner with the Namibian Diaries was a natural one,” says Andrew Robinson, CEO of Strawtech. “Namibian Dairies is seen to own the milk fridge and the partnership with Sipahh will help to grow the milk space.”
Under the banner of the Ohlthaver & List Group, one of Namibia’s largest companies, the Namibia Dairies was created in 1997 and has since grown to become the major supplier of fresh and long-life milk, dairy products and other beverages in Namibia. Partnering with Sipahh will now enable the Namibian Dairies to extend the business into the children's arena.
Namibia is the fourth country in the world to launch Sipahh after Australia, South Africa and South Korea. “We are looking forward to expanding into the Indian Ocean Islands, Kenya, Mozambique and Botswana during 2007,” says Robinson.
