Retail

Crystal ball of retail

When out shopping, it's unusual to find me not using my phone. Whether it's just for basic price/quantity calculations, snapping pictures for a friend's opinion, or for something more online intensive like store or brand price comparisons and product reviews. Research says that 1 in 3 smartphone owners shop this way. So how can you get shoppers connecting with you via mobile?

Aside from m-commerce, DigitLab has highlighted another eight retail trends, as well as a handful of disruptive elements, affecting the retail industry. Aki Kalliatakis discusses how to become a trend - by creating a viral hit. At this year's Net Prophet, eBay's Jody Ford forecasts the future of retail, while the up-coming Flux Trends will focus on 2015 macro trends.

Have a great week!
