Transnet makes new appointments at KZN engineering
Transnet Port Terminals has made three new appointments at its KwaZulu-Natal engineering department. Sabelo Mzimela, Lewis Takundwa and Shane Narainsamy have been tasked with ensuring the welfare, service and maintenance of Transnet's specialised equipment stationed at the several terminals in the KZN region including the Richards Bay and Durban terminals.
Sabelo Mzimela has been named the chief engineer for the Durban and Richards Bay terminals while overlooking the engineering function of these terminals, he will also continue managing the Durban Containers Terminal Pier 2 until a new engineering manager has been appointed. Lewis Takundwa has been appointed as the engineering manager: plant maintenance for the Richards Bay terminals and Shane Narainsamy has been appointed as the engineering manager for DCT Pier 1, bulk, break-bulk and cars (BBC) terminals.
