Sauber's 2014 car launched online
After McLaren and Ferrari, the Swiss outfit took the covers off the Ferrari-powered C33 which they hope will help steer drivers Adrian Sutil and Esteban Gutierrez into the points.
As with most other cars for the 2014 campaign, Sauber will have an "anteater" nose and will contend with some of the biggest technical changes in the sport for a decade.
"We have put a very challenging year behind us," said team principal Monisha Kaltenborn.
"The first half of 2013 in particular was difficult for us, but the second half saw us making significant strides. We learnt a great deal during this time and will be applying the lessons in the new season," Kaltenborn said.
Sauber finished seventh in the constructors championship last season. Nico Hulkenberg, now at Force India, ended in 10th place while Mexico's Esteban Gutierrez was down in 16th spot.
Hulkenberg's compatriot Sutil has left Force India to take the Sauber seat.
"After six good years in the same team, it was time for me to look for a new challenge," said Sutil, who was 13th in 2013, just behind teammate Paul Di Resta.
"I'm determined to have a successful future with Sauber and will do my bit to ensure that. In recent years the team has repeatedly demonstrated its potential, not least in the second half of the last season," Sutil added.
Gutierrez will be starting a fourth season with the Swiss team after spending the first two years as a reserve driver.
"Last season I had a steep learning curve," admitted the Mexican. "This is my fourth year with the Swiss team and the second as a racing driver. The 2014 season will be a huge challenge on the technical front, which makes it all the more important to know the people you work with well," Gutierrez added.
Sauber will join their rivals at the first F1 test of the session in Jerez, Spain, this week.
