Tomorrow's Leaders Convention 2016 seeks nominees
The Tomorrow's Leaders Convention (TLC) 2016, presented by Old Mutual and Cape Media, will take place on Friday 11 March at Emperor's Palace, Gauteng.
The Convention is looking for dynamic leaders in their twenties as well as leaders who are between 30 and 45 who are busy making their mark within the African economy. Closing date for nominations is Friday 4 March 2016.
"Transformation catalysts, trend setters and digital fundis are only just some of the words used to best describe the millennial generation. Mzansi's future is at stake. Sinister forces are trying to rob the youth of a creative, wealthy and happy life they deserve, only to replace it with the monotony of an uninspiring daily grind," says Greg Penfold, events division manager at Cape Media. "Mzansi's Millennials proved just how influential they can be through mass collaboration on social media during the student fees protests. South Africa needs such young leaders who are indeed game changers."
"Old Mutual believes that the convention is an opportunity for corporate South Africa and the public sector to embrace and mentor the new generation who are key to organisational success. We too nurture and support the growth of tomorrow's leaders and we hope that the event provides opportunity for them to engage in a meaningful way so that they can take South Africa forward," says Ralph Mupita, CEO of Old Mutual Emerging Markets.
Nominees can either be employees of an organisation or young entrepreneurs with great leadership qualities. Nominees will be measured on qualities such as optimism, talent, influence and a clear understanding of the global economy, to name a few.
This year's speakers include founder and MD of Soweto Fashion Week, Stephen Manzini. For more information, go to www.tomorrowsleaders.co.za/nominations.
