Air Seychelles, Etihad offer codeshare flights to Australia

Air Seychelles has extended its codeshare agreement with equity alliance partner Etihad Airways to include new connections to Australia. The new codeshare flights, on sale now, offer seamless connections to Seychelles from Melbourne and Sydney, operated via Abu Dhabi.

Flights from Melbourne offer daily connections. Ten flights per week from Sydney offer daily connections to Seychelles. Guests will enjoy three weekly return connections from Seychelles to Melbourne and Sydney.

Cramer Ball, Air Seychelles' CEO, said: "We are delighted to enhance our codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways, offering our guests seamless connectivity to and from Australia over Abu Dhabi.

"Not only does this offer more opportunity for Australian business and leisure travellers to come to the Seychelles, but it also introduces a simple and appealing travel option for Seychellois travelling to Sydney and Melbourne. Australia hosts the largest Seychellois diaspora in the world and, as the national airline of Seychelles, we are proud to introduce a new air link between the two countries."

The announcement follows the 18 January signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for air services between the Republic of Seychelles and the Australian government.

Members of Air Seychelles' joint loyalty programme, Etihad Guest, will earn miles for their entire journey when they fly on the Etihad Airways-operated codeshare flights to or from Australia.

The Australia codeshare brings Air Seychelles' network to a total of 25 destinations across the globe.
