The Business Traveller Africa Awards gauge the views of agents registered with ASATA (the Association of Southern African Travel Agents) and ABTA (the African Business Travel Association). This is the second consecutive year that kulula has won the Best African Low-Cost Airline category.
Iain Meaker, executive manager: Commercial Distribution says “These awards are very encouraging as they show that our offering to travellers and travel-buyers meets their needs at a time when customers are looking for maximum value for their budget.”
“It’s also tremendously gratifying that these are just the latest in a series of awards that our brands have won,” adds Meaker. He points out that British Airways (operated by Comair) and kulula dominated the Domestic Airline: Business category of the 2016 Sunday Times Top Brands survey, with first and second place respectively.
In January, for the second consecutive year, kulula was rated as the top South African low-cost carrier in the SA Customer Satisfaction Index (SAcsi). In December 2015, the airline was also internationally recognised for a second consecutive year, by AirlineRatings.com, as the Best Low-Cost Airline in Africa and the Middle East, and was named the Best Low-Cost Airline in Africa in the 2016 Skytrax World Airline Awards.
