FAO to host fisheries in Africa workshop
According to WorldFishing.net, the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency (NPCA), a technical body of African Union, are jointly organising a regional workshop to look at the roles of fisheries in Africa, from 22-24 April 2013.
The workshop will come under the auspices of the NEPAD-FAO Fish Programme (NFFP) and the Smartfish Programme. Industry specialists will gather to discuss climate change, disasters and crises in the fisheries and aquaculture sector in Southern and Eastern Africa.
