Exotix appoints lead of equities market
Alexander has wide-ranging experience in sub-Saharan African listed stocks, having most recently been a vice president at Renaissance Capital. In this role, she was responsible for leading coverage of Zimbabwean and Zambian consumer and agricultural stocks, as well as coverage of sub-Saharan African brewers. She began her career at Lynton-Edwards Stockbrokers.
"Anthea is a highly respected analyst in the Zimbabwe Equity Market. We are pleased to add her to our Africa research team. Her focus will be consumer names in Southern Africa, where investor interest continues to grow," says Kato Mukuru, head of Equity Research.
Ali Khalpey, global head of Equities, added: "I am pleased that Anthea has joined the team at Exotix. With this hire we complete our research coverage of sub-Saharan African Equities and now focus on our Frontier Research coverage roll out."
Alexander's appointment comes after a period in which Exotix has significantly broadened the strength and depth of its sub-Saharan Africa research, sales and trading capability. In August, Exotix announced an agreement with Equity Investment Bank (Equity Bank Group's investment banking subsidiary) to collaborate closely on their respective research, sales and trading platforms across Kenya and East Africa.
