University of Limpopo offers degree in accounting science
The University of Limpopo recently hosted an event in celebration of having attained accreditation for the University's Bachelor of Accounting Science (BAccSc) degree under the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
"On behalf of the Association for the Advancement of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA), I would like to congratulate the Accounting Faculty at the University of Limpopo for their efforts in attaining this significant academic accolade," said Andile Khumalo, president of ABASA. "ABASA will continue to assist former 'black universities' in applying for, and attaining, such accreditation as it will contribute greatly towards the development of future black chartered accountants."
With this accreditation, the University of Limpopo's School of Accountancy will be able to provide the BAccSc degree independently from its previous partners, which will allow students to pursue their honours degree directly.
