Transport management across Africa
TransAfrica 2007, South Africa's international transport and logistics exhibition, hits the Durban Exhibition Centre from 24 - 26 October.
Fleet management and logistics are crucial when it comes to keeping the local transport industry's wheels rolling. TransAfrica - the South African international transport and logistics exhibition - represents an ideal opportunity for players in these industries to access a huge potential customer base.
Dev Naidoo, commercial director at Exhibitions for Africa (EFA), the organiser of this year's TransAfrica, explains: "With the diverse audience that we enjoy - both from local and international companies - fleet management and logistics companies have expressed considerable interest in exhibiting at TransAfrica 2007. The exhibition will undoubtedly stimulate interaction between various sectors of the economy, and facilitate a host of networking and product sourcing opportunities."
The local transport industry's ability to stay abreast of rapidly accelerating technological growth has resulted in the availability of world-class products and services to both commercial and private sectors and has led to South Africa being at the leading edge of fleet management solutions worldwide. "TransAfrica provides the opportunity for fleet management providers to create awareness surrounding their brands, or further entrench their brands in the industry mindset. As such, we anticipate meaningful representation from this sector of the industry.
"The suppliers have many reasons to be proud - many of the fleet management and logistics companies are world leaders. Take, for instance, vehicle tracking systems. Crime has many negative connotations for South Africans, but it certainly has resulted in South African companies being at the forefront of developing products and technologies to deal with this ongoing scourge. Thus, we anticipate that visitors will be in for a real treat when it comes to experiencing these products and services first hand," comments Naidoo.
"Exhibitions are the only form of advertising where potential clients can experience the product with all five of their senses, making this the best form of marketing possible," Naidoo points out.
