GlobalGAP to host Farm Assurer Workshop in Joburg
The first GlobalGAP Farm Assurer Workshop for Livestock will take place in Johannesburg,South Africa, from 22-25 October 2013. Farm assurers are independent, GlobalGAP trained and approved consultants who aim to provide expertise to help producers implement good agricultural practice.
The GlobalGAP Farm Assurer Program is open to a variety of stakeholders in the agricultural supply chain. Benefits as a licensed farm assurer are:
- Access to a worldwide GlobalGAP database and the right to register producers and manage their data.
- The option for free GlobalGAP membership.
- Increased publicity. GlobalGAP actively promotes farm assurers. All farm assurers are listed on the GlobalGAP website with their company logo and contact details.
- Qualified farm assurers may have the opportunity to work as consultants or trainers on behalf of GlobalGAP.
- Annual farm assurer training.
- GlobalGAP database training including supporting material.
