HASA conference put on hold for international congress

The Hospital Association of South Africa (HASA) is giving its annual conference a skip this year to make way for an international event taking place in South Africa around the same time

The International Hospital Federation (IHF) World Hospital Congress will be in Durban from 30 October to 3 November. This is a high profile biennial international event that rotates around the world, and South Africa gets the privilege of hosting it for the first time ever this year.

HASA conference put on hold for international congress

HASA has taken up the invitation to collaborate on this event, so consequently its annual conference is cancelled, as it makes little sense to offer two big hospital conferences within a month and a half of each other.

The International Hospital Federation World Hospital Congress is themed: Addressing the Challenge of Patient-centred Care and Safety, and will bring together internationally renowned experts and topic, offering insights into the key drivers of national and international policy, hospital management, quality care, and benchmark solutions in healthcare service delivery.
