Enter the International Street Photography Awards

The International Street Photography Award is looking for exceptional international photographers that display a unique style and depth of work in the genre of street photography.
Enter the International Street Photography Awards

Street photography is more easily defined as a method than a genre. The results can fit into documentary, portraiture and other genres, but the key elements of spontaneity, careful observation and an open mind ready to capture whatever appears in the viewfinder are essential.

Entrants may submit five to eight of their best street photography images. Photographs can be taken anywhere in the world, but must be taken in the public realm (for example: streets, subways, museums, beaches, parks, events, countryside etc.). Entrants may submit colour and/or black and white photographs taken up to ten years before the start of the awards (after 1 September 2001).

Images should be a minimum of 2000 pixels in width/height at 72 dpi and no more than 7 megabytes in size. Entrants may crop a photo and perform minor colour corrections, but extreme photo manipulation, stitching and combining of images is forbidden.

Copyright of the photos remains with the photographer.

    Eligibility

Open to photographers from anywhere in the world who are 18+ years old.

    Prize

The international winner will receive £2,000 cash (approx USD 3,120) plus a solo exhibition in London, and an all-expenses paid trip to the exhibition launch and awards ceremony in London in June 2012 - total value £10,000 (approx USD 15,600).

Selected finalists will be exhibited in the same gallery and one image from each entrant will be showcased in a digital display. The first 500 applicants will be automatically entered into a draw to win prizes including: a signed print from one of the 2011 exhibitions, an Olympus PEN camera, £100 Blurb voucher, a Crumpler Muffin Top camera bag, photo-books by Magnum and Thames & Hudson.

Categories include an overall winner, a runner up, and 10 finalists.
