Facelifted Mercedes-Benz C-Class debuts, and its heading to SA

The formula has survived challenges from all quarters to remain the benchmark in the segment. Every generation adds more polish and more tech. This latest update balances those elements.

The C-Class story starts with the W201 in 1982, aka known as the 190E, and continues all the way through to the current W206 series. Mercedes has sold more than twelve million examples worldwide, a serious body of metal that explains why the nameplate carries so much weight.

The appeal has always been straightforward. The C-Class brings a little of the S-Class trickle-down effect. Styling and tech rolled out in the halo sedan often ends up in the best-seller. More significantly, the model is produced right here on local soil.
