Mohamed Abdel Bary has been appointed as the Standard Chartered Bank regional CFO for Africa and the Middle East. He is to report to Sunil Kaushal, regional CEO AME, and Vivek Ahuja, group deputy CFO, and will take up the position immediately.
Bary had been working at the company for the past four years, having started as the UAE and the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan head of business finance before moving on to become the UAE head of finance. Bary's career spans 20 years and his expertise includes business finance, financial and product control in addition to tax management across multiple geographies including Africa, Middle East, Asia, Europe and Russia.
