VW Golf 8 GTI details revealed
The most digitally advanced Golf GTI has received 11kW more power than its predecessor. The 2.0l turbo engine now develops 180kW with a torque peak of 370Nm. The four-cylinder is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It takes 6.4 seconds to sprint from 0-100km/h.
To mark the launch of the Golf 8 GTI, Volkswagen is planning a digital South African premiere in July, as well as nationwide customer events where prospective customers can be among the first to experience the Golf GTI.
The GTI comes as standard with a mechanical warranty of three years or 120,000 km, an EasyDrive warranty of five years or 90,000 km service plan and an anti-corrosion warranty of 12 years.
