Johnnie Walker Green Label to return
Johnnie Walker is reintroducing its blended malt Scotch whisky, Johnnie Walker Green Label, which is crafted from malt whiskies from distilleries across Scotland that have been matured for a minimum of 15 years. Since 2012 its sales had been restricted, but Johnnie Walker has said it will be bringing the blend back into its range in South Africa, as well as globally. 10 May 2016

Around 42 million children under the age of five worldwide are overweight or obese - and the vast majority live in developing countries, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO). In response to global concerns about the growing problem of childhood obesity, The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF), together with the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), this week published a new tool to help its 400 member companies - including major South African retailers - meet agreed commitments to stop marketing communications to children. 9 May 2016

Higher inflation and interest rates are having an adverse effect on the credit health of South Africans, according to TransUnion's Consumer Credit Index (CCI). The CCI decreased in Q1 2016 to 46.1, down six points from 52.1 the previous quarter. 6 May 2016

Grant's has announced the launch of Grant's 18 Year Old in South Africa.
