BDA bank funds construction of rural shops

Over six million Angolan kwanzas (about R600,000) were made available by the Angola Development Bank (BDA), for the implementation of a project for the construction of five rural shops, in Andulo district, at 130km to the north of Kuito city, capital of the southern Bié Province.

The secretary of the local government, Avis Agostinho Vieira, on behalf of the provincial governor, Cândida Celeste, inaugurated the concluded infrastructures this weekend.

These shops were built in 35 days by the construction firm known as “Ribeiro Sequeira”. The construction of these enterprises mainly aims at improving the population's living conditions, through the reduction of transport distances.

The communities of Taca, chivinga, Nhongo, Tumba and Chimõga (Andulo) benefited from this project.
