'Glimpse', a 26-minute portrait of contemporary South Africa composed only of images and sounds, was co-directed and shot by Italian director/DOP, Alberto Iannuzzi, with co-director and producer Dan Jawitz. The film marks Jawitz's directorial debut and was funded in part by the SA National Film and Video Foundation.
The other film is 'Angola: Saudades from the one who loves you', produced by Neil Brandt and directed by Richard Pakleppa. It won Best Film at the Three Continents Film Festival in September in Johannesburg. Zurich-based sales-agent, First Hand Films, has just secured world distribution rights.

Another of Brandt's projects, 'The Secret Craft of Human Retrieval', directed by Laurence Hamburger, will be shown to top television commissioning editors at the IDFA pitching forum.
The film looks at the high-end security industry of gated golf-estates and villas through the eyes one of Africa's foremost kidnap and ransom specialists.
