DTT will be effective in Ivory Coast end December 2018
According to a statement of the Council of Ministers held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, the Ivorian government announced that the availability of the DTT signal will be effective by the end of December 2018. This will allow the sector of Abidjan to be connected to DTT, while specifying that the other regions of the country will be connected in a progressive way.

This note also states that in the context of the deployment of DTT, which has been in active phase since 2012 in Ivory Coast, the government has reorganised the institutional and functional framework of this project through the creation of the Société Ivoirienne de Télédiffusion (IDT) in charge of broadcasting, at the national level, the audio-visual programs of the public and private channels as well as the programs of the DTT bouquets.
In order to meet the need for deployment of the digital television in Ivory Coast, the Ivorian government intends to strengthen the Radiodiffusion Télévision Ivoirienne (RTI) and IDT.
Moreover, the statement said, the construction and rehabilitation of the existing priority infrastructure in the economic capital and inland are scheduled to be completed by the end of June 2019.
