    Southern Africa Direct, SATSA enter marketing partnership

    Southern Africa Direct and the Southern Africa Tourism Services Association (SATSA) have entered into a marketing partnership that aims to provide SATSA members with access to an international marketing platform. Southern Africa Direct is a 24-hour travel TV channel for Southern African travel, tourism, lifestyle, business and cultural experience.

    The Southern Africa Direct international marketing package available to SATSA members comprises television exposure on Sky Channel 270, online advertising through Southernafricadirect.com and video on demand. As part of the package, members are required to purchase a minimum of 12 commercials.

    Southern Africa Direct plans to assist SATSA members in creating the content for their campaigns. Other services available to members taking up the offer includie an additional 12 free flightings per month; the development of video on demand and web marketing through video on demand and a free listing in the Southern Africa Direct eNewsletter.

    Grace Kironde-Mohlomi, Southern Africa Directs' marketing manager says the partnership is beneficial to all stakeholders. “We're proud to be an active member within the Southern African tourism industry especially in the SMME sector. We want to provide an opportunity to product owners within this industry to derive maximum benefit.

    “It is great for us to have SATSA's support. It's a very well-respected domestic brand, having established itself within the South African tourism industry over the past 40 years. We think the market would be very attracted by SATSA's reputation for quality and that the partnership provides an opportunity for the international market to strengthen its relationship with South Africa and SATSA, encouraging tourism,” she adds.
