NAMISA appeals for TVM, MBC budget allocation
The National Media Institute of Southern Africa (NAMISA) has appealed to opposition legislators in the country to approve budgetary allocations for the country's two public broadcasters, Television Malawi (TVM) and Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC).
Newly elected NAMISA chairperson, Brian Ligomeka observed in his acceptance speech at the end of an Annual General Assembly in Blantyre that by denying the two public broadcasters funding, the institutions have been affected, as a result, have resulted to unprofessionalism, which he said is costing the image of journalism in the country.
