Mother creative trio are new Creature comforts
The team will form the creative leadership behind the London office, and are integral to the development of the agency's business, led by Creature managing director, Ivan Purdie.
For the past three years, the team was at the creative helm of Mother's Unilever business, responsible for some of Britain's best-known campaigns. At Creature, the trio will take the lead across a portfolio of clients, which includes Microsoft, Starbucks' Seattle's Best Coffee brand, Pepsi, Jansport, and Pacifico Beer.
Robson Grieve, president of Creature, said: "We went looking for an ECD, and found something much more powerful - a team of three, that shares our perspective on advertising and the role of creativity in solving business problems. We expect Ed, Ben and Stuart to help lead us in new directions here in London, but also in the US and beyond."
Stuart Outhwaite said: 'With 20 years of collective experience and award-winning work under our belts, we're ready to take ownership of a new challenge. Creature has a global reputation for incredible creative work that delivers results and we aim to uphold that."
Collectively the former Mother team worked across accounts as diverse as Beck's, Powerade and Match.com. Notable work includes Four Feet from a Rat - a graphic novel series developed for listings magazine, Time Out, and the groundbreaking Pot Noodle the Musical, for Unilever, which debuted at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival.
Warren began his career as a planner at Lowe and DLKW before making the transition to creative at Mother. Middleton and Outhwaite are a well-established creative partnership, beginning their careers as graduate interns at Mother eight years ago.
Creature's ambitious growth strategy will see the agency push its credentials as an independent global ad agency that uses creative strategies to solve business problems for brands.
