Barclays joins Mandela Foundation
Barclays Plc has announced that it would be sponsoring three Mandela Rhodes Scholarships permanently as part of its contribution to the development of homegrown leaders in Africa.
A statement from Barclays Bank Tanzania quoted the group's head of global community investment, Rachael Barber saying the bank aspired to play a sustainable role in developing Africa's leaders of tomorrow through partnership with the Mandela Rhodes Foundation. "Barclays believes passionately in the future of Africa," Barber said in the statement.
