City of Johannesburg still has a way to go to keep people moving

The City of Johannesburg is now beginning to try to find ways around this, with a plan to close some lanes to cars in Sandton next month. At the same time, there are some pretty simple and cheap common sense ideas that should be tried. And it seems that cycling is slowly becoming more of an option in some areas. More change is on the way.
