Second Time Around from Milnerton Players

Cape Town's Milnerton Players are presenting Second Time Around, a saucy, fast-moving romantic comedy by Derek Benfield at the Milnerton Playhouse between 18 and 26 May, 2012.

The production is directed by Gordon Molloy with Michelle Galloway and James King in the two challenging roles.

Fast-moving, delightfully witty and energetic, the comedy involves a couple - Bernard and Marion - who meet by chance 22 years after their love affair broke up.

Could they, should they, let this moment go? Marion agrees to go back to Bernard's flat for a drink and to reminisce over old times and the intervening 22 years. They embark on a trip down memory lane - their first meeting, their love for each other, their break up, their marriages, their children - and why after so long they are strangers. Will they part again only to meet up in another 22 years?

Frantic costume and character changes

A true romantic comedy, the two characters play themselves, their younger selves and three other people in their lives as they go back and forth from past to present. What ensues makes for great theatre, frantic costume and character changes and hilarious outcomes.

Performances are at 8.15pm (18 to 25 May) and 2.15pm and 8.15pm on 26 May at the Milnerton Playhouse, Pienaar Road, Milnerton. Entry is R60.

Bookings at www.milnertonplayers.com or +27 (0)82 267 1061.
