Call for international action against pirates
Ports & Ships reports that three crew members have been kidnapped by pirates off the Nigerian coast from an American oil supply vessel, the Chevron. There are no reports of injuries but the fate of the three kidnapped crew members is still unknown.
Ports & Ships also reports that in a separate development, Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron wants international action to be taken against Somali pirates and is setting up an international conference aimed at finding ways of combating piracy in the Gulf of Aden.
