SA ATM provider uses Fiserv to automate device mgmt

Fiserv, Inc., a Wisconsin USA based, leading global provider of financial technology services, announced that Johannesburg-based ATM Solutions, the largest independent deployer and operator of retail ATMs in Africa, has selected a number of Fiserv solutions to help manage all of its ATMs deployed throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, marketwatch.com reports.

ATM Solutions will use Fiserv's systems to improve ATM profitability and operational efficiency and automate device management. ATM Solutions installed and operates over 4 000 retail and bank branch ATMs, providing ATM services to eight Southern African banks.

ATM Solutions, which is responsible for 38 percent of the off-premise ATM market in South Africa [...] needed a flexible and cost effective solution that could grow with them, as well as automation to make their operation more efficient, said Brian Jorgenson, vice president of Operations, Cash & Logistics, Fiserv. "[we are] helping them get the most out of their ATM network through a number of comprehensive systems designed to meet their business needs." Having used the Fiserv Device Manager for a few months already, "the envisaged benefits of automation, visibility of the network and operational efficiencies are becoming a reality," Gavin Reubenson, ATM Solutions executive, Business Development, told marketwatch.com.
