Container company opens in East London

The facility, which was officially launched last week, opened its doors in April.

Errol Schlemmer, BLG SA's East London branch manager, said the company, which is based in Germany but has a South African head office in Port Elizabeth, was involved with the motor vehicle and container industry worldwide.

“Since opening the East London branch, we are now in a position to offer the local industry a range of services from handling, storage to transport of full and empty shipping containers, as well as all types of break bulk cargo in our general and bonded warehouse,” he said.

Schlemmer said the facility also boasted a customs bond licence.
