TUB/Jema deal brings new power solutions to Africa
South African electronic and electrical system manufacturer Thata uBeke Manufacturing (TUB) has entered into a technology, marketing, agency and after-sales agreement with leading Spanish power solutions company, Jema Energy, for the Africa region, Dataweek portal reports.
TUB is ISO9001:2008 accredited and carries a Generic Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Level 6 Certificate with value added supplier status. TUB has traditionally focused its attention in the military, automotive, industrial and mining sectors.
Jema is a designer and manufacturer of customised static power converters and solutions for thermal, nuclear, solar, hydro power plants energy distribution, renewable energy, plasma physics, petrochemical, railways, oil and gas installations. The new partnership allows TUB to offer African markets with power solutions directly from South Africa. Such products would include photovoltaic (PV) inverters, rectifiers, AC and DC UPS systems, customised high-specification power supplies, frequency converters, static VAR compensators (SVC), STATCOM, etc.
