Agri SA says child labour is morally reprehensible

Agri SA says the employment of children is not common practice in commercial agriculture in South Africa. The organisation is of the opinion that if there are instances where children are employed, the law should take its course and the offenders should be held liable.

Agri SA supported the Minister of Labour in her position against the use of child labour and associated itself with the National Day against Child Labour held in Tzaneen, Limpopo recently. Its view is that the use of child labour is illegal as well as morally reprehensible.
