AGCO searches for Africa ambassador
AGCO is calling young Africans with successful business initiatives or innovative ideas that could help in developing the agricultural sector in Africa.
In its search for the next AGCO Africa Ambassador, the agricultural services company has recently launched a video contest of which the winner will represent the African continent at the fourth AGCO Africa Summit, Agribusiness in Africa - Partnering for Growth, to take place in Berlin, Germany on 19 January 2015.
The AGCO Africa Ambassador will not only host the AGCO Africa Summit, but also represent AGCO and the African continent at the International Green Week trade show from 16 to 25 January 2015 in Berlin, Germany, and at several other events.
The contest runs from 15 August to 17 October 2014. Winners will be announced on 17 November 2014.
Participants should create a video of themselves outlining their innovative idea for growth in Africa and explaining why they should become the next AGCO Africa Ambassador.
Entrants can post their video on the AGCO Africa Ambassador Facebook page or Twitter channel, or email it to info(at)africa-ambassador.com.
AGCO has created the AGCO Africa Summit as a platform for international dialogue. The conference invites experts to discuss the challenges of feeding the world and to develop solutions for improving agriculture and related businesses in Africa. Presidents and ministers of African nations, economists, academia, NGOs and executives of multinational companies join the conference in Berlin every year to discuss Africa's significant role in global food security.
