Drought-stricken Free State farmers in dire straits
Drought-stricken farmers in the Free State were in a desperate financial situation, according to Free State Agriculture's operational manager, Dr Jack Armour.

He said many of the farmers have used their financial reserves to keep their animals alive, while others had to sell the animals at rock bottom prices.
