Airtel sells more towers in Africa
In September this year, Airtel sold 3500+ of its towers to Eaton Towers in six countries across Africa. Now, the operator is selling another 4,800 towers, this time to American Tower Corporation.

The agreement states that Airtel will be the anchor tenant on the portfolio under a lease with a ten-year initial term. According to The Economic Times, the operator is attempting "to lower its debt and turn around its loss-making operations in the continent."
