The Uzwelo Bags initiative recently presented The Bateleurs with a cheque for R69,606.76. The Uzwelo Bags initiative, spearheaded by Expand a Sign, sees thousands of metres of their waste textile fabric donated to teams of sewers from underprivileged backgrounds to make unique and truly South African bags and earn a living that puts food on the table for their families, funds education and provides dignity and upliftment for their communities on a long-term basis. A portion of all proceeds from Uzwelo Bag sales are donated to The Bateleurs.
