Hospital Chaplaincy Programme
HospiVision and Excel Theological Training Academy are offering a SAQA-registered Hospital Chaplaincy Programme (NQF Level 5) leading to an Occupational Certificate: Social Counselling Worker. This two-year, full-time course combines theological training with practical experience in Pretoria hospitals. Developed with support from the John Templeton Foundation.
Registrations close 20 February 2026.
This is a full-time commitment that blends theoretical learning with hands-on application.

Practical Training | Blended theoretical learning with supervised practical hours in clinical environments (Pretoria hospitals).
Mode of Delivery | In-person only at the HospiVision Training Centre (Tshwane District Hospital).
Admission Requirements | Applicants are required to have a matric certificate. However, relevant prior learning may be recognised at the discretion of Excel Training Academy.
Fees
Registration Fee | R1 500 (once-off fee upon acceptance)
Annual Tuition | R12 000 (payable per year over two years)
Total Course Cost | R27 000 (excludes exam fees at the end of the course)
