Veni Vidi Vici... 'I came, I saw, I conquered' - as Sky News so aptly highlighted Italy's World Cup win last night. With the cacophony of car hooters mixed with the jubilant cheers of Italian supporters still ringing in our ears this morning, South Africa now moves into high gear with prep work for 2010. Watching the festivities last night in the stunning Berlin stadium, one hopes that four years is enough to get ready to host such a stellar spectacular. Good luck to the 2010 organisers! Springing into action is the International Marketing Council of South Africa (IMC) with a workshop next month for communicators and marketers. The one-day event will kick off the campaign to mobilise all those dedicated to the promotion of South Africa leading up to 2010. This is the first official 2010 World Cup National Communication Partnership Conference and it is endorsed by the Presidency. For more, go to www.imc.org.za.
