National Geographic Kids has reported a 49% increase in audited sales figures to 27 499 for the first six months of 2006 and 27 695 for the quarter ending June 2006. The growth follows increased investment in print orders, wider distribution and a strong investment in its marketing campaigns. Says associate publisher Dene Strain, "The latest figures are phenomenal and yet another feather in the National Geographic Kids cap, following the recent Gold Lion Award won at the Cannes International Advertising Awards in France."
