Durban to attract filmmakers

Durban is considering opening a film office to attract foreign filmmakers. Says Robbie Naidoo, corporate communications manager of Tourism KwaZulu-Natal, "We have identified the film industry as very important in creating an awareness of the city and are open to proposals and business plans on how to go about achieving this. We essentially need people in the know to help us devise a business plan, look at other models in the country and all over the world, and develop an infrastructure that we can work from."
