New data presents disconnect between SA's consumer confidence and purchase behaviour
South Africa's newly released Nielsen Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) figure for Q2 2016 improved only slightly to 78 from the previous Q1 figure when it dropped seven points to 75 - a similar level to that experienced during one of the country's worst recessionary climates in 2008/09. While this was to be expected, new retail sales data from consumer insights specialist Nielsen presented a far more positive picture of consumer spending. 10 Aug 2016

BMi Research has released its annual quantification report on the flavoured milk market in South Africa for 2016.
