K300m hotel opens in Lilongwe

Malawi's capital city of Lilongwe has added another hotel in its hospitality industry with the opening of a 48-room Pacific Hotel at the heart of the city centre.

The three-storey K300m hotel has suites, standard and deluxe rooms as well as a conference centre.

Pacific Investment Limited director, Zahir Habib said the project has been a success due to the stability of major economic variables in Malawi.

The company's operations director, Yusuf Abubakar said the hotel would help in the growth of the tourism industry in the country.

“This will be in line with the government's agenda to develop all sectors of the economy,” he said.
