Rwanda and US signs Memorandum of Understanding

The Rwandan government on Monday, 12 January signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to promote the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in schools.

USAID donated US$4.8 million to the ministry of education to support the project and the money will be used by Rwanda Education Commons (REC) to develop capacity and content through the use of multimedia and platform to establish a network for education stakeholders that will provide opportunities for collaboration, learning and sharing knowledge.
