Toyota and EABL sign vehicle lease agreement

Local motor sales firm Toyota East Africa Ltd has sealed a vehicle fleet upgrade deal with East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL). In the deal, EABL will receive 150 vehicles through a fleet leasing solution developed by Toyota East Africa.

Speaking during a handover ceremony at EABL's Ruaraka headquarters, Toyota East Africa Ltd Managing Director Tomonori Umehara said the firm's fleet leasing solution is increasingly gaining a foothold on the local transport sector. “The new Toyota East Africa Ltd fleet management program is designed to provide vehicle fleet owners with systems, processes and tools to maximise utilisation of their Toyota vehicles,” and added, “for EABL, our solution will afford them the competitive edge that comes with the many benefits of our fleet management program.”

“Leasing has proved successful for our business in the past and we can effectively concentrate on our core business of beverage production and marketing functions while enjoying an efficient transport solution,” said Gerald Mahinda, EABL managing director.

On the global front, fleet leasing solutions have gained acceptance as the most cost effective transport management options for corporate organisations wishing to concentrate on their core business. EABL has been leasing vehicles for its sales and marketing staff for the past six years.

With the ongoing growth in fleet leasing solutions in this market, local companies are embracing the advantages that come with such solutions with a positive impact on their bottom-line.
