Mobile Web West Africa heads to Lagos in 2011
Mobile Web West Africa, running from 2-3 February 2010 at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos, Nigeria, is the third in a series of events organised around Africa focusing on expanding the mobile ecosystem and harnessing the potential of the internet and applications on mobile devices.
Contributors and supporters for the event include Google, World Wide Web Foundation, W3C, Storm 360, InMobi, Mobility Nigeria, Fontera and Balancing Act.
Start-Up companies, mobile developers, NGO workers and academic institutions can apply for a 50% subsidy to attend the event. The organisers, all amber, are also running a Mobile Application Developer Competition at the event with InMobi, for a US$1500 prize.
